STEEL
Steel cans are used for human food (your baked beans, tinned truit, etc), pet food, and some toiletries. To find out if something is made of steel, hold a magnet against it! If it clings to the magnet, then it's steel!
Recycling method - the steel objects are sorted and returned to the steelmaking plant. There it is melted down, including the ingredients iron ore and limestone and the liquid produced is poured into a mould before being left to cool down.
Make sure each steel item is washed out, and that, if possible squashed down to save space.
